Everyone knows the toll winter takes on any type of floor from the melting snow and the salt residue it leaves behind. The wet floors are a safety hazard, and, If we’re throwing that salt on our roads and driveways, imagine what it does to carpet, tile, wood, concrete or granite.
But if you take a few steps to deal with winter, you can minimize the potential risk and damage.
Start with a good matting system. Having heavy-duty mats not only eliminates slippery wet spots but they serve as a shield, preventing the moisture, dirt and salt from ever touching the floor.
Next is regular cleaning. Making sure the mats and floors are vacuumed and/or swept and mopped on a regular basis reduces the amount of dirt & moisture that’s being ground into your floors.
At Cross Town Cleaning we evaluate your building and develop a plan to make sure your mats and floor surfaces are as clean as possible. Our professionals use commercial vacuums, mops and scrubbers so your floors aren’t just clean, but look fantastic.
