Spring Cleaning Checklist for Office Buildings

Your office building has been sealed-off from the winter for months. You can only imagine the amount of dirt, dust, stains and germs that have built up since fall.

Here are a few things you should make sure receive a deep cleaning now that spring is here:

• floors and carpets to remove any lingering salt residue or early season allergens.

• light fixtures and replace any burned-out bulbs

• bathrooms should be sanitized thoroughly to remove accumulated germs, bacteria, mold or mildew.

• common areas – especially break rooms – require cleaning and sanitizing because they are often meeting places for social gatherings that include food. Make sure any appliances are cleaned inside and out as well. Other common areas needing attention are conference rooms and hallways.

• window treatments because they are magnets for dust and are often neglected.
